How to Use the Tile & Paint Estimator

Renovation is expensive enough — don't buy materials twice because you underestimated. Our estimator handles the math so you can focus on the fun part.

How Many Tiles Do You Need?

The calculator assumes standard 60x60cm tiles (approx. 2x2 feet). Formula: room area / tile area = number of tiles. Add waste for cuts and breakage.

How Much Paint Do You Need?

Standard rule: 1 liter covers approx. 10 m² (or 100 ft²) per coat. Most rooms need 2 coats.

Pro tip: Always buy more than you think you need. Leftover paint is great for touch-ups. Extra tiles can be stored for future repairs.

Common Renovation Scenarios

  • Small bathroom (2.5m x 2m): 5 m² → 14 tiles (15 with waste). ~1L paint for ceiling.
  • Master bedroom (5m x 4.5m): 22.5 m² → 63 tiles (67 with waste). Buy 10L for 2 coats.
  • Open plan (8m x 6m): 48 m² → 134 tiles (141 with waste). Buy 2x 10L cans.

Measuring Tips

  • Measure longest and widest points
  • For L-shaped rooms, divide into two rectangles
